If you're travelling on the weekend leisure bus services, either to or within the Dales, then a Dales Rover might well offer the best value. These tickets are available from the driver on most of the leisure routes, and then can be used on most buses, regardless of operator, for the rest of the day. Most other bus tickets are only valid on a single operator's routes, so check before purchasing a return ticket on a route operated by multiple companies. OAP FaresPensioners and disabled people from anywhere in England with the appropriate pass are entitled to free, local off-peak bus travel. In order to benefit from this entitlement anyone aged 60 or over needs a new style concessionary pass. In addition: Passes may also be used at anytime for journeys starting within the Craven District Council area, and from 0900 onwards on any journey starting within North Yorkshire or the City of York.
